12th International
Electric Drives Production Conference
(E|DPC) 2022

2020 IN RETROSPECT

2020, everything was different. That is why we were very pleased to welcome over 180 participants from 14 nations to the 10th E|DPC. For the first time the conference took place as a pure online event.

The production of alternative drive technologies, new developments in the field of winding technologies, materials, artificial intelligence in hairpin production were the focus of the 10th International Electric Drives Production Conference E|DPC from 8 to 9 December 2020.

This year’s conference once again offered more than 60 scientific and application-oriented, cross-industry technical papers on all aspects of the production of electric motors and drives.

An extensive online exhibition and poster sessions complemented the conference.

The Best Applied Research Paper was presented this year by Dr. Florian Sell-Le Blanc, Head of Advanced Engineering, Aumann Espelkamp GmbH and the Best Scientific Paper went to Mr. Andreas Mayr, M.Sc. M.Sc., Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems (FAPS), Friedrich-Alexander Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg.

We thank all exhibitors and our sponsor Marsilli Deutschland GmbH for their loyalty and support.

„THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC MOBILITY IN GERMANY: ELECTRIC, CLIMATE-NEUTRAL, VALUE-ADDING!”

Interview with Prof. Dr. Achim Kampker
28 September, 2020

Following his keynote “Cost optimal design strategy of electric drivetrains for medium heavy-duty vehicles based on product development and production costs” at the 9th EDPC, Prof. Achim Kampker is interviewed by Prof. Jörg Franke about the disruptive change towards electric mobility and its impact on the German automotive industry.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Achim Kampker is the founder of StreetScouter and of the association Engineers Save the Earth. He also founded and manages the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at the renowned RWTH Aachen University.

The interview is held by the conference chairman and founder of the EDPC, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Franke. He holds the professorship for Factory Automation and Production Systems (FAPS) at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU).

The EDPC is a leading forum for the exchange of ideas between scientists on the production technology of electrical drives.
