2018 in Retrospect
Two exciting event days ended in Schweinfurt. More than 230 participants from 16 nations came to the event.
The congress was moderated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Franke, Institute for Factory Automation
and Production Systems, FAU, Nuremberg . Highlights included keynote speeches by Dr. Gerd Hillenbrand, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Bernhard Seiler, Vice President Operations and Supply Chain, Business Division E-Mobility, Schaeffler AG and Peter Deml, Head of Factory, Siemens AG.
In addition, many participants took the opportunity to take part in the factory tours at Bosch Rexroth AG in Lohr and Siemens AG in Bad Neustadt.
At the congress about 54 well-founded and inspiring technical contributions were presented by experienced industry experts and innovative scientists.
In addition, 25 exhibitors presented their latest technologies in the foyer to discuss their individual requirements. As expected, the E|DPC proved to be a unique place for the exchange of technical and informal experiences for the connection of your personal network in the production industry for electric drives. Over the past eight years, the E|DPC has become the most recognized congress in this up-and-coming field in Germany. We look forward to welcoming you in Esslingen next year from 3 to 4 December 2019. If you are interested in giving a presentation at the upcoming conference, we look forward to receiving your presentation topic until May 31, 2019
2017 in Retrospect
From 5 to 6 December 2017, the International Electric Drives Production Conference (E|DPC) took place in Würzburg with 250 participants from 16 nations. E|DPC 2017 offered about 60 technical contributions, balanced scientific and application oriented presentations within two days. The four parallel sessions focused the energy transfer for electric vehicles and subjects of the electrified powertrain.
The congress is organised by SV Veranstaltungen and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The E|DPC and its accompanying exhibition offered the participants a unique platform. Developers, researchers and potential users of innovative electric motors were able to exchange ideas intensively. Production planners, production managers and purchasers learned about new materials, methods and machines. Top-class presentations on significant innovations in the field of manufacturing and assembly processes were the focus of the conference.
After the great success of E|DPC 2017 in Würzburg, we continue the tour through northern Bavaria as a hotspot for the production of electric drives. For this reason the E|DPC 2018 will take place at the Mercure Schweinfurt Maininsel (Germany) on December 4 – 5, 2018.
